Tsunami & Typhoon Update

Hello all. As many of you know, there was an earthquake in Russia of 8.7 magnitude. This earthquake sent tsunamis throughout the Pacific circle. The good news is, my team and I am far enough inland that we were unaffected by the tsunami waves; and the tsunami was much smaller than predicted so the coast was the only area effected. I am grateful for all the prayers and that the Lord kept Sendai safe amidst the possibility of a big natural disaster.

We are currently anticipating a Typhoon headed our direction. In the photo of the Typhoon map, I am located at the black dot. We are just on the edge of the storm path so we are not expecting the worst of it. Please keep praying for the safety of all of Japan during this time, and any other areas that may be hit by the Typhoon. And of course, prayers for the safety of my team in Sendai are greatly appreciated.

To end with a quick positive update. I am officially a resident of Japan and of Sendai. I got my Japan ID and registered with the government as a resident of Sendai for my ID number card. I have been able to enjoy my time getting to know my fellow housemates, eating delicious food, and exploring the nearby area.
